POWER UP SUMMER CLUB

Power UP YOUr SUMMER

Our Power Up Summer Club is a fun and engaging summer program to teach social emotional and relationship skills. The program is designed for individuals with autism or other social challenges with a special emphasis on inclusion with neurotypical peers. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and engage in lessons and then apply their knowledge in group outings in the community.

Check out our different age-appropriate programming options below. We are looking forward to an empowering summer!

Summer program starts the week of June 3-7th,  and ends the week of August 12-16th.  There will be one field trip for each group during the week of August 19-23rd.

Individuals going into kindergarten will have the opportunity to join our Power Up Summer Club to practice and learn social skills. Our main focus for this program is teaching and practicing social emotional skills through lessons, and then generalizing those skills in groups or on monthly field trips. Alongside the social emotional skills, we’ll work with individuals on their pre-academics to support their skills as they enter kindergarten.

Individuals will be learning, playing, and socializing in a classroom of six students. Since inclusion is beneficial for all, three spots are reserved for those with autism or other social challenges. The other three spots will be for students who think and learn in a neurotypical way.

During club time, students will utilize visual schedules to rotate through stations of circle time, teacher time, snack, independent work, and play. Our monthly outings will include bouncing in inflatables, going to the zoo, and playing in the gymnastics gym.

KinderKids Club is available two days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am-10am. Located at Kids Adventure Preschool.

Students will be supported by a one teacher to three student ratio along with visual schedules and routines. If students are in need of one to one or additional supports, the student will best be supported in individual sessions.
